Yes, this is true, I am afraid of this, looks like an intrusion in my perfect body, or let us say the way I see myself.

Why in the world I would want a qualified person to check my potential sickness when I can still dream that I am perfect and untouchable.

Now, seriously, some months ago, about 10, I attempted to do this by promoting teleseminars with serious content and after 5 lukewarm encounters I said, this is not working.

We all love procedures that we know, believe that we are good in something called simple: habit.

If somebody presents us the benefits of a new procedure what is the first thing we say? No, it is natural to reject such a new and dangerous way, but hey let us look at some numbers:

300.000.000 people, about the 8th country in the world ahead Japan, this is what Facebook has today as members, 100.000.000 videos seen per day on YouTube, 1382% growth rate for Twitter January-February 2009.

So, Mr.Clooney you can be motivated more by a prostate check, I will always prefer Social Media.

Last year we saw Roger Federer in tears after his match with Rafa Nadal and we all thought that his time is up.

This year he proved us that he can reinvent himself and become number one again. I use to give this example of using all hits in a proper way, when needed, as an analogy to leadership styles, Roger was able to win because of this versatility and a very powerful inner game.

This year at US Open he met again with Novak Djokovic and he made show, hitting from the backyard between his legs.

Nole looked helpless and we all thought that Roger is invincible.

In the semis Rafa Nadal was beaten by Del Potro in 3 sets, all lost at 2. The after game interview showed us Juan very confident in sharing his dream to win his first Grand Slam, but wait what is his record with Roger? 0-7, wow and he is thinking on winning? And Roger won the last 5 titles in row.

He had a dream of winning again for Argentina after 32 years when the one and only Guillermo Villas managed to get the US Open title.

The first set was for Roger, Juan Martin looked nervous and somehow overwhelmed. Slowly he started to hit strong forehand winners leaving Roger many times without response. At a certain point of set 4 he had 36 winners to only 18 for Roger.

Last set was a formality, Juan won in fanfare, and in tears of joy, he made his dream come true.

What about statistics, oh yes, 1-7, but tonight we have one champion, his name is Juan Martin Del Potro.

If you read this title as a score what is in your mind? Probably that 106 wins? No way said Caroline Wozniacki to Svetlana Kuznetsova the other day in a stunning victory after a first set lost, with 6-2.

How is it possible, to have more winners and to lose the game? I believe is actually pretty simple, the difference is made by the inner game.

It is not enough these days to score winners, it is far more important to have a meaning for going forward. At the end of the day Svetlana had a good game, she lost the last 2 sets in tie brake but Caroline visualized herself in quarter finales of US Open  for the first time in career.

Do we see ourselves in the next step of our dream career ,or dream holiday, or just happy and loving?

Look at your life, career, job or business and ask one question: what do I want to become? Make an effort and see yourself in that new role, perhaps a new you surrounded by friends, peers, clients or kids. Now tell me, how is that feeling? Not bad? On my count: 1,2, 3  wake up and take action, you have a goal.

I know one thing, if you do not do it NOW somebody else will.

Enjoy!

Last week a young lady wrote a manifesto on Facebook asking this and calling the young generation from our country for taking political position against all the nepotism, lack of competence, or in short against current political class.

The initiative, pretty impressive and courageous in a post-communist country, which struggles right now economically, brings a whole new perspective to the Y generation and not only. What is this new perspective?

For starters is related to the power of social media and in particular Facebook to generate massive comments and movement even if many argued that she is young, too attractive and not enough credible.

The viral part started, remember that the actual White House President was supported by social media networks and the old manipulation tricks using traditional media could be expensive now.

Like it or not the power of personal branding leveraged through social media is the name of the game today. If today at only 4 days, more than 5000 followed her, words are useless, she has a point!
